The has not been a time I’ve come that has not been exceptional. Out of all of the mid woods in Charlotte this is by far the best and it continues to impress with each visit. Having frequented this establishment multiple times, the consistently spectacular food has turned us into devoted patrons. The brisket, in particular, is just a masterpiece, no matter where we go, no other brisket compares. It truly is delighting our taste buds with its rich flavor and tenderness. The burnt ends, a close second, never fail to deliver a savory punch that leaves us craving more. Beyond the amazing food, the service is consistently wonderful. Today in particular our server, Sam, truly went above and beyond to ensure our dining experience was nothing short of outstanding. Sam's attentive and friendly approach enhanced our time at the restaurant, making today's visit especially memorable. I would not be able to comment on the desserts as I have never been able to order one due to filling up on the delicious food, I imagine they are equally a delicious as their entrees but I guess I’ll never know. Truly an extraordinary experience and if you’re looking for food recommendations this is definitely the place to go. Parking: There is ample parking in the lot. Right in front of the restaurant can get a little crowded but there is plenty of spaces available
I ordered burnt ends and it was ok. The baked beans were delicious.
Great food, great experience services. It's a good spot to grab lunch. Kid-friendliness: a family restaurant
I had the brisket my brother had the beef ribs fantastic food and big portions the waiter was spot on filling drinks and seeing if we needed anything highly recommend
Delicious food! Our waiter was extremely nice and quick. We had a great lunch
If you’re really from the south and you’re used to that gooooood, flavorful, well cooked bbq… this is not the place or maybe I just went on a terrible night. The environment was nice and the staff was mostly helpful but not overly friendly, especially the lady behind the bar.. you can tell she was ready to go. I ordered the bbq plate with Mac n cheese and baked beans. The baked beans were delicious and so were the pickles . The mac n cheese looked like Kraft Mac n cheese. The cheese was almost too creamy and the noodles were hard. I immediately knew off of appearance alone, I needed to try it before pulling off and after tasting those hard noodles I took it back in and asked for something else. The manager helped me this time and he was VERY helpful. You can tell he cares about the reputation of the restaurant. He asked if I wanted a different scoop and I agreed but it was the entire batch I guess.. the noodles were just not cooked all the way. The BBQ was decent… just decent nothing special. There’s no mission bbq here in CLT but if you’ve ever had it.. the chain restaurant is better than this. After reading the rest of the lower reviews it confirmed the uncomfortable feeling that I had as a black woman in there. The only super welcoming person was the manager and that was after I returned with my order. Maybe it’s a cultural thing as to why some of us don’t like the food or the experience and others had a great experience.
