Mi Ya Bournemouth

Our favourite Westbourne restaurant. We have been back many times. In our opinion the best sushi in town. Authentic without overly complicated fusion sauces only complimentary to the quality ingredients.

Really enjoyed our last visit here - food was excellent - chef cooked up great food and sushi. Can’t wait to go back. Great for the family too!

An absolutely incredible evening - the food was amazing. We had Udon noodles, Salmon & Avocado Sushi, Seaweed Salad, Beef Miso Houba Yaki, Spicy Edamame and Izakaya Yakitori Chicken Skewers. The presentation and taste was great and the service was top notch. This was our first time coming here and we'll definitely be back again.

I have been twice since 14th Feb this year (2024) and both times the restaurant let itself down by 1. Too cold. They are obviously trying to save money on heating so we had to keep our coats on throughout the meal. 2. Their music is played through someones iPhone and it keeps cutting out, on and off throughout the evening. The staff obviously don't notice it but it is very irritating and an easy fix. So why don't they do it? It's a shame because it lets them down badly.

Absolutely delicious food, presented well. Impeccable service with lots of smiles. First time my 13 year old had tried Asian food, she was a wizz with chopsticks. Would have loved to score full marks but I felt quite cold for most of the evening and the rest of our party kept our coats on too. Music was also rather lively and a bit loud (to be fair I was sat under the speaker). Certainly worth another visit but I would ask for a different table next time.... Near the chef is probably a lot warmer.

Highly recommended. Had some sushi and ice cream mochi then went on grinning like a well fed kindergartener. Portions are fair and everything tastes excellent. Try it if you can! It may be a bit pricey but I promise it does worth it.

Best sushi and Japanese restaurant in the South imo!

Delicious food, great service. Need to improve the toilet.... scruffy. Will return.
