We went there for my birthday last month! And the food was so so they didn’t have tacos ,there was not much choices.

The best food in town

Really like this place. Came on a Friday night with a singing duo and they were FABULOUS. wish I could remember their name. The drinks were great. The guacamole with pork was delish. Tortilla soup was tasty too. The ambiance and decor was a vibe though I wouldn’t call it chill.

The atmosphere the music and the place are good, but the food and the cocktails are not very good, the attention neither and they already have a percentage included in the bill for the tip, overpriced

The atmosphere of the place is great. They had live music, and then a DJ. The outdoor seating was aesthetically pleasing. However, I came here for a birthday reservation, we were a party of 10, and when we first arrived the waitress asked us what we wanted to drink, so we placed our orders. She did not explain that because we were a party bigger than 8, we had to eat from the fixed menu which had a cost of $55 per person. The fixed menu options included appetizer, an entree, and dessert. We only had 4 entree options to choose from. When the waitress came back to take our order, we were ordering from the regular menu, and that’s when she told us we could not do that, and had to order from the fixed menu. She left to give us some time to rethink about what we wanted to eat, and eventually we had to wave her down to let her know we were ready to order because she did not return. During this whole time, we had not received any of the appetizers that were part of the fixed menu. About 20-30 minutes after ordering our food, the appetizers finally came. The food took over 1.5 hours to come out. An hour into waiting I asked the waitress if the food was going to come out soon, and she said yes soon that’s why she was clearing the table. The food still did not come out, and we had to ask a manager about it, and as soon as he went to check the kitchen the food came out. The food was lacking flavor, it was not worth the 1.5 hour wait. The waitress was not very attentive, and she would forget to check in with us. Gratuity was automatically included in our bill because we had a large party. Everyone had non-alcoholic drinks and we ended up paying $82 per person. It was overpriced for the quality of the food, wait time, and poor service. If you want to check this place out, I would only recommend it as a bar; order a bottle/hookah and chill. It is not a good restaurant for the food.

The drinks are okay, but the food isn't that good. The appetizers are decent, but our entrees were horrible! The service is a huge thumbs down! Go to Rancho Mateo if you want good food and better service.
