Most down to earth bouncers in Cardiff, good atmosphere, good drinks, good music. Honestly all round great place. One where it feels the entry fee is actually worth it for a broke student like myself
Used to be decent but now a sweaty, miserable joke. Strong candidate for worst club in Cardiff. Entry is overpriced, drinks are overpriced and taste awful, even the music isn’t great anymore. Jackets are taken from you at the door and you’re handed a tiny scrap of a raffle ticket. My friend misplaced his and was simply told, “you should have taken a photo of it” - no sympathy whatsoever and has never seen his jacket again. Will never go back here
An "alternative" club, that discriminates based upon appearance. However, a very pleasant experience and chat with Phil the doorman. Honestly they are very fortunate to have him. A true and genuine soul.
The greatest nightclub in Cardiff!
Forces you to take off clothes then charges you for it or denies entry completely. Smells like sweat 24/7. Tiny club without enough people to make it worth going to. As somebody that has visited frequently in the past I wouldn't recommend this club to anybody.
Left a 4 star review a few years ago. Since then this place has gone massively downhill. The spirits here are basically paint stripper yet the price of a double is now around six or seven pounds. The cost of going here in 2023/2024 is not worth the quality of the experience. The alcohol tastes awful, the music mostly sucks (especially the hype men and DJ mixing) and you could spend the same amount of money but in a nicer club or bar. The charm of metros before COVID was that it was a cheap night out but you get what you pay for. Now it is even more tragic than it was 4/5 years ago, however, it costs quadruple the price for a drink so there is actually no point in coming here. To anyone reading this, please don't go metros. Maybe they'll start improving the place if enough people vote with their wallets.
It's like sitting in the galley of a pirate ship with damp to match, no draft beer and pop punk hits consisted of Mcfly and Taylor Swift. Maybe the wrong night. Security up top where however delightful and charming
Review is actually for the evening of the 6th of January 2001 when I met my now wife.
