Messingham Grange

GOLF COURSE. Last visited 2021. Lovely setting in the countryside. Easy to get to from Scunthorpe. It is a large site with plenty of green spaces. There is a variety of different sports facilities available. There is a nice bar with coffee facilities. I was welcomed with a nice cup of coffee upon my visit. The staff are friendly and laid back.

Absolutely terrible experience do not come here!!!

Disappointed visit, staff were lovely but due to a member not being satisfied that our golf trousers were in fact golf trousers we were unable to play after travelling a total of 2 hours.

Shocking - Avoid at all costs!

We visited for a wake after a funeral. The public rooms we were in were very comfortable and clean. Staff were very friendly and helpful. The food was tasty but not very warm. Great car parking

Stayed in one of the pet friendly lodges, accommodation is dated and dirty. I had to clean the shower, oven and microwave before use and the toaster did not work. Dust and cobwebs everywhere and mould in both bathrooms. Settee was broken also. Unlike other parks cabins I have stayed in there was no welcome pack (washing up liquid, sponge etc). Hot tub was spacious but disappointing that it was not topped up or checked the whole weekend. Definitely not a VIP cabin and expensive for what it is

Absolutely filthy. When we arrived it was basic and looked ok but as we looked closer could see it was in need a of a really good clean then it got dark & we could see that all the classes walls were coated in cobwebs & dust - bare in mind we arrive approx 45 mins early & were told we couldn’t get in as the cleaners were still doing their job! We went to reception ti complain & ask for it to be cleaned to be told the manager had left, not cleaners now on site & likely she wouldn’t return, also advised by bar staff this was a regular complaint & noting would get done. To be fair the bar manager returned and came to look & tried to clean using a spray & paper towels. We asked for vacuum & said we’d do it ourselves and were told she didn’t have access & no cleaner would be back throughout the weekend. Left it as bad as it was & we just put up with it. You then look closer & see how bad everything else is, climbing in to bed discovered blood on the duvet cover-thankfully there was a spare one. Very sad as the location is lovely. We emailed management photos that night & emailed a complaint on our return - no response was ever received Swerve this place, plenty of others around with better & cleaner facilities
