I went to the cherry blossom popup patio for brunch, and unfortunately, it perfectly exemplified yet another DC restaurant that is Instagram-worthy but has overpriced, low-quality food. The dishes were incredibly over salted and my eggs were disgracefully over cooked. I wouldn’t have even minded so much given that the decorations and ambiance were so dang cute, but I simply cannot justify spending $100 for brunch on terrible quality food and small portions! I’m giving 5 stars for the ambiance and service, nothing wrong there (again, so cute!!), but I prefer restaurants to prioritize their food over their Instagram-worthiness.
Mercy me is my favorite bar! Nick always makes amazing drinks both on and off the menu, me and my friends always go in to see him.
Very odd and uncomfortable experience having came for drinks at the Cherry Blossom pop up bar. We arrived around 1030 and were told they close at midnight. However shortly after 11pm, and I mean just only a few minutes, the music was turned off, the staff were doing the cleaning and closing process and we felt very unwelcome and as if we were silently being told to go. The drinks are good and it’s a very cute setup with the decor and whatnot however the misleading closing time and false premise of being open later is very unwelcoming and disinviting and I would not return over this treatment and conduct of a business — especially given the drinks are very expensive. Disappointing and unacceptable.
Very cool bar and restaurant. Stayed at the hotel and got drawn to the cool atmosphere of the bar downstairs. The bartenders are very nice and professional. Gio, and Nick especially, went out of their way to make sure we were taken care of and had a good time. Will definitely come back!!
We stayed at Yours Truly hotel adjacent to Mercy Me. Loved everything about this place, actually both, and will recommend it to whoever asks about hotel restaurants in DC. First night there we met William (Willie) the bartender. He was attentive, informative and fun. The food was delicious and well crafted. Second night there we had a great waitress that served us the best Pavlova ever eaten. Can’t wait to go back.
Wonderful evening at the Blossom Garden. My only critique is prices. 13 dollars for a cranberry juice and refill with no alcohol, just cranberry juice is crazy to me (huge markup). Wagyu dish was delicious and appetizers were great too. My expresso martini was nearly the same price as the juice but well worth it, great mixologist dishing drinks that night. Overall great date spot but def expect to blow 120+ for two people.
Great cocktail bar that also serves sake and sochu. Deep house music and romantic lighting makes Mercy Me perfect for date night.
We love Mercy Me! A comfy environment, unique cocktails, delicious food and dog friendly- what’s not to love? They put creativity and care into everything they do.
Chic boho vibe & cool cocktails. Loved the Negroni Colada!
