Mercure Cardiff Holland House Hotel & Spa

Our stay was luxury and fabulous, the pool, sauna and steam room was exceptional. We had an issue with the pay per time for pool, but this was resolved by abdul, he was respectful and understanding. Great customer service would recommend!! 100 % Rooms: The views were breathtaking

Had a bad experience previously but friends of mine chose this hotel for a Cardiff re visit and paid for me so I came back with them We were scattered around floors despite requesting same floor rooms we were told it was not possible as it was busy, later my friend who was chatting to a staff person was told it was quiet and only half booked The room carpet was dirty and stained the windows were really filthy the shower didn't drain very fast the linen was in the walkways until late the leisure facilities are now chargeable and it's per visit not per stay and some of the facilities did not even work Breakfast items were missing and needed to be requested we were told to come earlier as it was close to end of service All in all another bad experience however the spa treatments were fantastic the team were great up there - best bit of the hotel My friend complained on my behalf as some others also had issues - awaiting a reply from management (apparently) will update this review if they respond .........

There was faeces in the shower of the health club/next to the swimming pools. Another member and I realised we had both been having itchy skin since we joined the club. And I expressed I was bisexual in conversation to another member who was there with their partner who is also queer. Another member reported us saying we had been talking about sex and raising our voices when that wasn't the case at all. It's been over a month since I complained about this and there's still no resolution. Waiting for a reply so I cancel my membership.

Room was lovely and swimming pool , sauna and spa pool was really nice.

Had a really great short break here with the family. Excellent location, especially from Cardiff Queen Street although definitely not the place to take a car... But they mention that when you book. The spa was great for the money, the room was comfortable, dark at night, very light in the day and quiet... also air conditioned and the brekky was great for the price. Added to this, the staff are lovely, couldn't ask for much more from a short break.
