Had vouchers for their breakfast menu. Service quick and attentive. Only two vouchers can be used at one time Very quiet in my local McDonald's, due to time of day, before 0900hrs Kid-friendliness: Pavement access doors. Easy for people with buggies or wheelchairs

Very crowded all the time as is a tourist hot spot, and they send all the juniors to do shifts three. Never got the right order. Always missing something as they are overwhelmed....

Food is usually consistent when you go in there, ranging from semi-cardboard ultra-thin cheeseburgers to more appealing higher end options like steakhouse stack and chicken wraps. Chicken sandwich is often dry and overcooked but nuggets seem to be better. If opting for delivery, many times it arrives cold with missed items, missed order notes or no consideration for allergies. You can enjoy burgers which look like they've survived a sploshing contest with a sumo wrestler, dry rubbery lukewarm fries that you can't quite bring yourself to actually swallow... and - 70% of the time - leaking hot drinks which will ruin your light coloured carpet in seconds as they escape for their life out of the corner of yet another soggy misshapen paper bag of doom.. Very very busy most of the times I've been in there. The self service consoles are close to the entrance, positioned sideways, and feel like they're in the way of good traffic flow. The main floor and waiting area near the counter becomes chaotic with hangry teenagers, huffing husbands and howling sproglets. Often no seats on the ground floor and the tiled stairs are treacherous while trying to hold a tray of hot drinks. Seating is mainly wooden benches which are hard and uncomfortable on the most padded of bum cheeks. Just 15 minutes on these wipe-clean melamine banquettes leaves you with a tingly numbness in the coccyx guaranteed to ensure you feel even more sullen and full of dread than when you arrived. Upstairs ladies toilets are a tiny squeeze, no good for people with mobility issues nor anyone over a size 14. Unless you can expertly pirouette like a graceful ballerina in the 2ft of elbowsmashing cubicle space while juggling your handbag and a few bags of veg from the market. Downstairs accessible loo was often dirty or smelly so I've tried not to use it. Sadly this McDonalds is what it is; an older building in a parade of shops which have protected historical characteristics and it just can't meet the needs of the today's operations and accessibility requirements. Just try to get in and out quickly... or eat elsewhere.
