It seems like there are a lot of rice roll places popping up around town and I'm not opposed to it. Tried the shrimp and beef rice rolls which were petty good. We were intrigued by the shu mai rice rolls and they turned out exactly like you would expect... Mini shu mai dumplings on top of plain mini rice rolls with a hoisin/peanut sauce. While the dumplings themselves weren't anything to write home about, the dish actually worked. They did forget our spicy wontons order so we had to ask them about it. When it arrived, it didn't seem too spicy. Fortunately, they have spicy chili oil at the table that you can add to your dishes. Update: March 2024. Revisited for breakfast recently and tried their pan fried radish cake (along with a shrimp and scallop rice roll and a mixed meat rice roll). Love the crispy bottom of the radish cake and the soft inner parts.
I found their congee a little runny. They are stingy with meat. Its ok but nothing special I think.
This food here tastes just like my hometown. Love it.
Ordered a holiday drink that taste like water. Pork hock on rice it looks like this and the pork hock was more chewy than rubber Rice was dry so it tasted raw
The donut rice roll and fried rolls in soy sauce were super tasty. The donut one was very crispy and light! The service was great, very friendly
Very good congee and rice roll with reasonable price. We come here often. Great service. Highly recommended.
My family and I had dinner there and it wasn't busy since it was a later dinner. It was nice and clean there. Owner was very friendly and attentive. The food was delicious and portions were big and worth the money spent. Kid-friendliness: Family friendly. My nephew got free treats after dinner.
This is our first time to this congee store and now we knew we don’t have to drive to Richmond. Their rice rolls are very tasty and just like eating in Guangzhou. We also enjoy their congee and spring rolls!
