Had their special Mardi Gras menu and was excellent
Maxie's is always a good go-to for comfort food. Enjoyed the oysters and crawfish etouffee on Mardi Gra while listening to love music.
I don't usually write these but have to in this case. I made a reservation for my birthday celebration and loved the experience. The food is great and although it may be higher in cost than some other places the quality and quantity make it well worth it! Saved the best for last. The service was impeccable! Very warm greeting and my server had plenty of help. I'm sure all the servers are great but I strongly suggest you ask for Daniel! He was perfect. Always made sure we were taken care of but didn't hover. You can tell he really enjoys where he works! Thank you for the great experience Daniel!
The food was amazing, with the exception of the gumbo I ordered was bland and scorched tasting. The fried catfish, mashed potatoes, and brussel sprouts were perfect. Fried tomatoes and cornbread were also good, and the chicken.
Went for Mardi gras, we sat upstairs, we had five courses and listened to a band. It was magical. service was awesome, food was the best
Fun place to celebrate Mardi Gras. Music was excellent, and so were the drinks and the food. My jambalaya was loaded with meat and was delicious.
Vegetarian options: I did try the trout with my jambalaya, and it was delightful! Also, I had to try the classic Keylime pie and it also was real good !
