Great brunch, busy restaurant but wait wasn’t long at all. Service was good. Drinks were good. We were in town visiting our son at LSU, this restaurant was so good for brunch that it is now in our rotation for future visits.
The flavors were delicious!
The burgers are always good and good atmosphere to sit, talk and relax during lunch. The fries are usually good. Today a little over done. The staff is always welcoming and sits us where we feel comfortable.
Got a delivery from here. The “spicy” chicken sandwich had about a pinch of spice, but it was tasty. Honored my request to put the ranch on the side. The loaded potato was bland and came with a pitiful amount of cheese/bacon. The boudin stuffed onion rings were ok ,but they forgot the sauce that comes with it. The smokehouse burger was huge and tasty. The patty by itself was bland ,but it was cooked to my desired temp which is very good considering it was delivered. My only other problem with the burger was that they didn’t honor my request to put the bbq sauce on the side.Plus the Mac n cheese was cold, yuck. Buffalo wings were bland could use more spice and flavor. They only gave me one wing out of the whole bunch. The jalapeno flavored wings had way more flavor.
Very disappointing. I ordered shrimp & grits (comes with a cream sauce & andouille.) The grits were super thick & not cooked, very gritty. The cream sauce was ehh ok but I literally had 2 small halfs of andouille in it. The shrimp were seasoned well but definitely needed a bit more cook time as well. When the waitress asked how my food was, I responded with it's okay but the grits aren't cooked at all. She asked if I wanted another plate or to send it back but I don't ever send anything back because I don't like the thought of people spitting in my food. Later when she was picking up my plate and bringing the bill she made the comment "well, at least you got to eat the shrimp". I don't think that was an appropriate thing for her to say. I don't think I got my money's worth at all.
