Mason's Famous Lobster Rolls

This place should be busier! Clean and efficient, Sunday crew took great care of us. The rolls have the right amount of lemon (which is to say, refreshing and complimentary amount). Lobster meat has clean taste and good texture. Kid-friendliness: They have Nathan's hot dogs, grilled cheese and mac & cheese for picky eaters.

2024 UPDATE: Still the best in the area! The best lobster rolls in the area! Got the Classic, a Bar Harbor version of the Connecticut Roll, the Lobster Mac & Cheese, and both the Lobster Bisque and Clam Chowder. All were very delicious and oh-so-sinful. So happy to have them right here in Shirlington and can't wait to get back! Parking: Plenty of garage parking and some street parking Kid-friendliness: There's a kids menu! Can never go wrong with a nice and warm lobster roll!!! I've been twice and both times were amazing.

This was my first time at this restaurant and was excited to try the lobster roll and lobster mac and cheese. When I got home and opened my food containers I was disappointed. The roll is smaller than expected and the mac and cheese is more sauce than pasta or lobster. The taste is average nothing special, considering the price, that is not worth it! I would not eat here again or promote others to. I will say the staff was friendly and the place was clean but what does that matter when the food quality isn’t satisfactory.

I went here for lunch last week, and I enjoyed my order of lobster mac n' cheese. Nia was working the counter, and she was so pleasant and friendly! She provided the kind of customer service any business would want to provide for its customers.

4 little pieces of lobster and when the next customer came in, they ordered the same classic lobster roll and it had 2-3 times as much lobster. No rhyme or reason, at least weigh the food out before hand. But the inconsistency is awful. Not worth what you pay by far. Do NOT recommend going to this establishment at all!
