Martin Downs Golf Club and Resort

Played the course today for the first and last time. Whoever is in charge of this golf course should be fired and never be allowed to work on a golf course. Booked a tee time today for 8:6 with my buddy, the price for this time of year was as I expected it to be . Not a lot of people playing , and I found out the reason why. The fairways are dry as the desert and the greens are all diseased. You would think that being in the mid 80's at 9:00 am, they would water the course at least twice a day. Not a drop of water anywhere. The ground is so dry that it collapses under the club when u swing.There were no Rangers any where in site to keep play moving along, waited on almost every hole for a foursome that was in front of us, until they finally waved us on at the 12th hole. When we arrived , there was someone waiting with a wet rag to clean our clubs , but we were aggravated with the conditions we refused . When we said something to the guy and the starter in the cart, about the conditions of the course, they tried to be funny and ask us if we wanted to work there to fix it. I think they should charge $30 a round pp if they're not going to maintain the course

Classic course, challenging layout that pushes your skills to the limits. Greens were inconsistent though and could use some love.

I am president of Business Associates of Martin and we meet once a month for breakfast at Martin Downs country club. I simply can’t say enough good things about this place, it’s beautiful! Falene Beauge and her staff always go out of their way to make us feel welcome. Owner, Stanley Campbell has made it a point to sit in on one of our meetings, and to introduce himself and welcome us and just this Thursday, the new manager, Joe Grohman joined us along with golf pro. Xavier. I feel like this country club is a hidden gem in Palm city. I don’t play golf, but if you are even thinking about trying golf, it’s a beautiful course and I understand they have lessons for beginners here. You don’t even need to have your own clubs. I love this place so much that I recently started using the spa for awesome manicures and pedicures from spa manager, Sharon Lightbourne. Try this place out, it’s open to the public. Great food, beautiful restaurant and bar and a ballroom. Wonderful views of the golf course from the restaurant. Everyone here will make you feel welcome and at home.

Our Business Club meets here- beautiful facility, great staff, and they are adding trivia, karaoke and musical entertainment some evenings, open to the public. Right in Palm City, awesome. New manager also says they are continuing to improve the course and will be offering golf lessons.

Nice place for dinner and drinks.

After 3 was $25.00 with a cart. Course could use some work but a bargain for the money.
