We stopped at the Marquis whilst passing on a narrowboat. Popped in for a pint and 5 hours later we left with a proper belly full of beer. What a great pub and Carl and Sarah the Landlord and Landlady were superb in making us feel welcome. What a great night.
Old local, good pub, very nice staff and owners
Life music, great atmosphere
Fantastic experience, really nice Landlord proud of his superb beers and lagers which are all very well kept, I will definitely return.
Unable to comment on the food presently but the atmosphere is brilliant. The owners are friendly and welcoming. With parking and regular events, including live band performances and a Santa's grotto this is the perfect place to call in or relax a while
Absolutely brilliant pub also great staff and land lady.
Local village pub, canalside location. Outdoor covered seating. Well kept cellar, cosy bar area, pool table. Always a warm and friendly welcome. Currently pop up food so you'll need to ring ahead and check if wanting food. Crisps, nuts etc available. Parking: Easy parking at the rear of the pub. Kid-friendliness: Well behaved kids welcomed. Wheelchair accessibility: Level access at side door which is the most frequently used access. Slope from car park to pub itself is quite steep, may need assistance but staff very friendly and available to help if needed.
