The House of Marissa's Cake

Ordered a custom made cake and it is exactly what i wanted. Beautiful presentation but when it was time to cut the cake and eat it, i was very disappointed! Very dry and did not like the flavor. I was upset..

I was looking for a freshly made cake for my granddaughters 3rd birthday. It was very last minute, but I found Marrisa’s Cakes in Downey. I walked in and noticed the nice cake models on display. I also was able to see a customer’s cake that had just been finished and it looked really nice! Most of all I had been treated with quick and wonderful service! I am hoping that the cake is as good as my experience!

So I had placed an order for my boyfriend’s birthday & as much as I was trying to like them because they were super sweet & helpful… they give me a completely different cake & then when I got the cake, the strawberries on top of the cake were like melted off making the cake look unpresentable, lowkey felt bad & embarrassed lol & then they couldn’t find my house & idk it didn’t seem like the driver really tried to find my house when I had given them my address… it was just a mess but once again they were responsive & helpful but just got the wrong order/cake LMAO I’ve seen other reviews about this so I SHOULD HAVE LISTENED

Order the cake last minute for a last minute wedding. I was expecting much BUT they far exceed my expectations. Thank you for the beautiful cake and it tasted wonderful!

Got a dozen cake pops, way overpriced for the quality $47, they looked pretty, but that’s about it! Too dry! I don’t think I’ll use them again!!!

So my cake was gorgeous. It was exactly what i asked for. It was just perfect. I even messaged to thank them and let them know just how beautiful it was, but We hadn’t cut and ate any yet. My daughter didn’t want to share that cake because she had another she shared at the party. We got home late so next day we cut the cake passed it out amongst family and not one of us wanted another bite. The cake was hard and some parts rubbery. So disappointed! Things are getting very expensive and with that everyone is looking for quality. I didn't want to be the bad guy but neither of us thought the cake was any good. We took image off and tossed it in the trash. Tip: Although we want a gorgeous cake to show off, We equally want a good cake. Please focus on making the cake taste better. The cake was too expensive to get tossed into the garbage but it did look good on the table so is why i gave it 3 stars. Otherwise i would have given 1. So disappointed in the taste. Very disappointed
