Great restaurant, food was fresh and delicious. The service was topnotch. Everyone was helpful and friendly.
I held a bridal shower in Mandolin’s private room. The room was beautiful with lots of light and held our group of 21 women well. Michael our server was excellent! Very personable and so helpful. The food was delicious. Every dish came to the table warm and oh so tasty too! I will definitely be back to try the other dishes.
Unfortunately my experience this go around was not as great as it was in the past. It took 30 minutes to be seated after our reservation time, an hour to receive our dinner, no refills on drinks, no apology and when the reservation was made I was asked if it we were celebrating something special. The answer was, “ yes, an engagement “…… nothing special was said or done for this particular occasion. Extremely disappointed in the entire night and unusual for a favorite go to spot.
Service was excellent - be mindful that this restaurant is for foodies! Order dishes with minimal substitutions so that you can enjoy the meals with their full flavor profile and intention. You’ll be happy you did!
Went here for our anniversary and had a great time! The food was good and service was great.
Excellent dinner experience at Mandolin. Only request I'd make would be to have either more menu options or more variety among the ingredients in the menu options. Lots of oysters and mushrooms throughout the menu, hard to get away from certain ingredients if they aren't your preference. But, that might also be part of the farm to table experience. Otherwise, good drinks and food!
We had a team dinner in the private room because they seat more than 20 people. Mandolin is known for their fresh, farm to table culinary creations and has been a favorite for over a decade. The team loved the cornbread, salads, butternut squash soup and duck frites. The only complaint was with the steak entree. The ones that were ordered medium came out very pink and raw. Service was great and overall a great restaurant to showcase the Raleigh food scene.
I’m not sure where Mandolin sits in my top 10 Raleigh restaurants, but it’s definitely in there. I’ve been to Mandolin 4 times in the year and a half I’ve lived here in Raleigh and every time the service has been great and the food has been delicious and beautiful. My most recent visit for brunch was no exception. House made bloody mary was on the spicy side which is exactly the way I like it and a perfect brunch drink. I had the Panzanella salad with fried chicken and my wife had the country sausage Benedict. Everything was perfectly seasoned. My wife made fun of me for stopping just short of picking up my plate and licking it to get every last bite. And I’m not a home fries fan typically but Mandolin’s home fries are next level. I’m guessing they double fry them because they have a perfect crispy outer crust and filled with melty potato goodness underneath. Mandolin is always a good time.
