Great takeaway, been using this since I was a young lad and that's many years ago. I've tried others and been let down. Yes it takes cards unlike some.

Good food, good price. Ordered our usual mix of chow mein, sweet and sour Hong Kong style, special fried rice and mixed veg/mushroom, came to just under £20. Quick service, very busy. Everything was well cooked, great tasting and portion sizing was okay apart from the Hong Kong style s&s which was expensive for a tiny portion. Also zero parking, so not great for anyone disabled, had to get the daughter to run in whilst I waited a few roads away in the car. Parking: Parking is a 3 min walk away, people were dumping cars everywhere as parking is limited free, or there's a pay and display.

Really nice food we thought it was better than any Chinese we have had before

Specifically said no mushrooms due to an intolerance. This was specified multiple times but still when we got home my food contained a large amount of mushrooms so I haven't been able to eat anything. Dietary restrictions: Very limited vegetarian options and still for my dietary requirements wrong.

Did serve the best chips in Shrewsbury they have now changed them and now they are probably the worst

There’s not many Chinese takeaways in Shrewsbury, but this one has the best reviews. Our takeaway was perfectly nice - not the best I’ve had but far from the worst. The portions were huge, and much of it went in the fridge to be warmed up next day! My one comment would be that because the counter had plastic sheeting in front of it, I initially thought it was closed!

Always amazing food, great customer service nothing is ever too much trouble. Have used the mandarin for years would not go anywhere else.
