HORRIBLE HORRIBLE HORRIBLE One of the worst places for carribean food. It's not the food but the service. First off they charged my card three different times. They also sold me A FROZEN JAMACAN BEEF PATTY. PLEASE DO NOT GO HERE
The food was good enjoyed the music the score was low but I had already gotten my food
It's amazing everything is definitely worth the drive.. definitely will recommend
Bottom tier food. This is not Jamaican food at all
Best jerk chicken I've ever had, hands down. See, to "jerk" chicken is more than just seasoning. It's just as important HOW you cook it. To properly jerk chicken, it must be seasoned, SMOKED AND GRILLED. Most Caribbean restaurants do not smoke and grill the jerk chicken. Mama's smokes and grills that chicken. You can see the char and taste that smoky flavor after you sink your choppers into that jerk seasoned exterior. I've also had the oxtail dinner. There's nothing to complain about. I would absolutely get that again. Chicken patties are really good. I get one with every order. Mama's punch is definitely a Caribbean drink. It bothers me I can taste every fruit in it but can't say which fruits I'm tasting. If you from the islands, like me, and you want a taste of home, get that mama's punch in your system. Although I am pretty recent transplant to the Charlotte area, Mama's is my go to for Caribbean food.
Worst Caribbean food I’ve ever taste !!! Oxtails disgusting
Great food. Great environment. All around great energy. I love eating here!
1. They really open at 12pm not 11am. 2. They’re technically selling left overs. The consistency and taste of the food is exactly like left overs. The food is alright but I think it would be even better if freshly made. They should stop conforming to Americans impatience and go ahead and cook the food as you order. The price is too expensive for left overs. 3. Their sanitation rating is a 88.0. It’s really not hard to get a 90 which tells me that they really don’t put enough effort into making sure the restaurant is clean. Not tryna hate on them and by all means I support the business but they have to live up to the name, put in work, and take more pride in the food.
