Main Event Columbia

The experience here was abysmal. If you managed to track down an employee that was willing to help, they were incredibly rude. Most of the games were malfunctioning - if you tried to swipe your card, it would subtract the credit but you couldn't play the game. I submitted a complaint on their website but not expecting to have a positive outcome.

We love going to main event for the atmosphere. It is fun for kids and adults alike. We spent all morning trying to call to see if lanes were available to bowl and had no answer. We even tried the app and it wasn’t working. So we all decided to walk in and just check, knowing they have other fun things to do. After waiting in line an employee told us it was a “crapshoot” for us to walk in and try to get a lane on a Saturday. He continued to tell us they had too many reservation between party's and corporate events and was basically scolding us for asking. I told him we tried to reserve and check this morning and I wanted to know how to check in the future since calling and the app weren’t working but he completely ignored me. This isnt our first time here and we know how busy it can get we were only checking but the employee acted like we did something wrong for asking.

My kids love going here for the kiddie drinks with candy toppings. Plus the have games, bowling, laser tag and more. Fun for the whole family!

Staff is very rude and not helpful at all. We paid for a birthday package and we did not feel welcomed at all by the staff. We paid for 4 hours of food/drinks and games and we were only able to bowl 1 game, couldn’t do any laser tag and they never even gave us the game cards that came with the package! We were only served 1 order of drinks and had to constantly keep going back to the service counter to tell them that we never received our last 3 orders. Food was burnt and was very basic for what was paid. Manager (Kyle) was worse than the staff ! Even made a snarky remark saying we were “hangry” because we complained about the service. Please stay away and go to Dave and Busters.

A lot of the games we tried to play were broken. I think we lost almost 100 credits on broken games and the customer service line was twenty deep. This was our first time here and we won't be back.

There are a lot of kids here even late so if you're not into hanging around a bunch of children you may not want to do a date night here. Some of the games don't work quite right and the staff isn't very attentive. There was lots of security at this location. Parking is a big of an issue on a Friday night.
