Maggie's Seafood Market | Fish & Chips Eatery

We've been going to Maggie's for 2 years or more and no other fish and chips place comes even close to them. The owner’s are always friendly and work their butts off every day. We could all learn something from their work ethic and devotion to making this place great. I highly recommend Maggie's as not once have we been disappointed.

Just had the opportunity to try the food here. I’ve heard many good things and all very true. Fantastic fresh fish, chips and coleslaw all come to the table piping hot with great service. We will come back again, if you’re looking for a great fish and chips place in Nanaimo, definitely worth trying.

Great fish and chips

If your sharing a meal they want you to pay an extra 2.00 fee, every resturant I have been to never asks for this additional cost. The fish very watery and too greasy. Furhtermore, I was disgusted by how fiflty the place was- sticky condiments that have never been washed, floors and seats were dirty. The cost of two pieces of fish was not worth it. I do not recommend this resturaunt to anyone!

So tasty. Called in a order a hour before closing and i figured id get the meh "we're closing soon" kinda food. Nah. This is wonderful. I live in the USA, come up to visit my husband. i get a fair amount of fish n chips at home so this isnt a review based on nothing being good around here and my standards being low. This is super tasty. The fries are good and the cod is great. Definitely coming back. Prices are VERY reasonable too. I usually pay 18$ USD (more) for good cod at my fav place Got the cod bites btw, they realllllly filled this box full it cant even close! :D Update, the quality is consistent. They have my heart and whenever i want seafood im coming here

We have dined in here 4 times including tonight. I had oyster plate and husband had 2 cod plate. Delicious as always! My large pieces (5) oysters were very fresh and juicy. Husband’s cods were huge pieces and delicious according to him. This place is a gem. Maggie is friendly and very attentive about the quality of food. Sauces etc all made fresh daily. Highly recommend. Parking: Free parking in front of the restaurant. Plenty space, never had any problems.

Fresh fish, fantastic crispy batter, and the tartar sauce was tasty!. Worth the visit!
