Casual and elegant. The food is fresh! I had penne carbonate. The sauce was so fresh you'd think they had hens in the kitchen laying eggs.
It was our first time visiting Luna and we were very impressed! Excellent service, food, and atmosphere! The chef, Tony, introduced himself to our table and explained the menu and specials so beautifully, that we had to try them. We were not disappointed, and we will be back again soon! 10/10!
From start to finish our experience was excellent! The staff was super friendly, food was incredible and atmosphere was lovely! Highly recommend
Amazing food, atmosphere and service! Thank you for a excellent dinner!
Enjoyed a wonderful first time dining experience last night at Luna. We received a table side visit from Chef Tony and incredible service throughout the night from our server, Josh. He went above and beyond to make our evening perfect - down to every detail and menu recommendation. I am gluten free and I was so impressed by the variety of menu options available and how delicious everything was. I can not say enough wonderful things about this restaurant. We were suggested this place while visiting the capital building. Heard wonderful things and were excited to eat authentic Italian food owned by Italian family. My husband and I both have been to Italy and were looking for dinner that would make us feel like we were back there. My husband actually lived in Italy for 6 years. The atmosphere is lovely, it is a new restaurant is nicely lit and clean. The waitress was Italian. Immediate feeling was she was not overly pleased with newcomers. She was seen maybe a handful of times and we eventually had the bartender ring us up at the end. Knowing how welcoming Italian families are this was such a let down. The food is a whole other issue. My husband had pasta carbonara. He makes this dish frequently at home. The pasta for him was overcooked and not the right pasta for the dish. The sauce was very sweet and he couldn't find any evidence of panchetta in the sauce at all. He added chicken to the to the dish and the chicken was very dry. Also had calamari. It was just the rings. No legs. Very rubbery and hard to chew. I had crab ravioli. This sauce for this dish was also overly sweet and the pasta overcooked. We both had to add crushed red pepper to our dishes to give it any kind of flavor. Overall this place is nothing more than an overpriced olive garden. Italian food made bland for the American palate. It was a dining experience that left us both deflated.
