Luke's Deli

Basically came in because my friend was craving soup. She got the split pea & ham soup, said it was pretty good. We tried cheese curds; they were barely room temperature, so had to take them back to get hot ones. The hot curds were mushy, very small, and didn't even taste like cheese, basically little fried pieces of batter that was all soggy because they keep them under a heat lamp (not a good heat lamp either). I got a chicken bacon ranch wrap; not impressed at all. I took 2 bites, started feeling nauseous, just threw it away. I tried to eat it..... just blah. None of the staff smiled at all! I've not been there since it was Custards Last Stand, so probably like 20 years!...... no desire to ever go back. Not for me. My friend also agrees, unimpressed, won't be going back.

Always a great meal at Luke's! Had a lobster roll for the first time! Delicious. Courteous staff, timely service, GREAT food.

Great home-made tasting food at a reasonable price. Service was fast. Booths and tables are available to eat inside.

Absolutely LOVE Luke's deli! Every visit has been delicious, like a really good home cooked meal. We recently picked up dinner, and unfortunately we did not realize they close at 7pm. We walked in at 6:50pm. The staff, although actively cleaning up in preparation to close (we then noticed they were closing after ordering), they were extremely patient, friendly and maintained a great atmosphere. We left a plentiful tip after noticing, however, they all deserve so much more.

Always have had Great food prices right with friendly service both inside and for pickup.

They have the hours on Google showing open until 8pm, I drove 30 minutes out of my way to stop here and order some food and when I arrived at 7:05pm I was told they now close at 7. This should have been updated online so things like this don't happen. I don't know if I will bother coming back.

Stopped for a simple lunch, didn't disappoint

My wife and I often go here and every time that we do, we are reminded at just how dang good the food is. I think Luke's easily has some of the best food, if not THE best, food in Janesville. I've never had anything there that wasn't awesome. My favorites are the Beef & Cheese, Kicked-up Honey Garlic burger and their fries. They also have the best chocolate malts!

Two new very happy customers. Our kids ate at Luke's when they were in high school. Now we (as empty nesters) will dine here often. The turkey on any sammy is delicious. Fresh tortilla too. Hubby loves the gyro. The sauce is terrific. Keep up your patience with those high school kids...they have parents who will arrive eventually!.

It is really cool, perfect size small the guys and girls taking orders are awesome. I'm not a fan of their type of fies but the portions are big, I did have a phili cheese and beef I forgot to tell them no peppers so I just took them off. I think it's a great idea to have plastic bottles of pop but I will say, for me, it was very EXPENSIVE $14 and some change. I came, I ate, and walked away full stomach but I won't be going back.

Damn, it's hit and miss with this place. You get what you pay for when you get it. Be there and 90% of the time it's right. Just check your bag on to go orders. Call it in and bet that's it will be cold with their time estimate. Being honest. Every place has it's good and bad. But with prices the way they have become, business needs to step up the game to make the game worth paying for.
