Pasta dish was awful. Absolutely no flavor. Will not come here again Service was fine. Atmosphere was ok - table setting was awkward (two small round tables for party of 4) made sharing food difficult and awkward.

This place could be good but it is not. I will start with the food and move on to the rest that is wrong with it. Our table ordered a variety of things and the best of them were okay. The linguine carbonara were some of the worst food I have tasted in my life. Unfortunately my sister and I both ordered it. We both could not eat it. And we returned completely full plates. We were at no point asked for the reason of not eating our food. If I was asked I would have explained that it tested like the products weren’t fresh, the meat had a horrible sent, it was overcooked, heavy snd really salty. We waited for food for an hour. The server kindly came to our table a few times to tell us the food is coming any time now when it wasn’t. The place is really overcrowded and loud. They are really trying to fill every square inch with a customer when they really can’t handle the volume at a good quality of food or service. There is one 1️⃣ restroom for maybe over a hundred people. So there is a line. And when you stand in line, you are right next to the kitchen so you are being pushed by customers and busy servers. The feeling of overcrowding actually starts at check in where again busy servers are squeezing between people. The layout of the whole place is just not okay for the amount of people they try to fit. And there is only street parking. Not ideal. But all the ambiance issues would have been forgiven if the food was at good.

1st time here with my dad and it was packed but the squeezed us in at the bar. Sat with Giovanni. Great guy and great food. Ordered the Eggplant Parmigiana and the Linguini clams Vongole. Everything was so good now we have to bring the rest of the family!!

We had set up a private event on Saturday, January 20, 2024 with Cassie for my husband's 60th birthday. After back and forth conversations we confirmed everything and I thought it was a go. When we got there, there was another event in the private area. The restaurant had it for 7pm, but I had missed that detail and everyone was there at 5:30pm, BIG DIFFERENCE! Marco quickly assured me that all was ok and they started pulling tables together to accommodate our party and my error. Julia helped him and both were wonderful as they quickly started getting everyone a glass of wine and setting the tables. How they pulled it together and made my husband's night So Special was truly Amazing! They also accommodated the 2 people that had dietary issues! These 2 incredible people worked their butts off and were always where someone could ask a question or need something and it was immediately taken care of! The manager on duty that night was also very sweet and helped calm down a potential problem with success, also making sure to let us know that we were invited back to celebrate next year. Positano is our favorite location out of all of the restaurants here in the Bay Area and we've been to almost all of them! The food is always on point, the staff is on top of your needs, and the atmosphere is welcoming even when it's a busy dinner service! We can't say enough about this location and the people that work here!! We will Most Definitely be back and if you have room for dessert, get the Limoncello cake!!!! Vegetarian options: Just let your server know your restrictions Dietary restrictions: The kitchen pulled together plates for 1 person that had gluten issues and 1 that had gluten and dairy issues!!! We love this place!! Wheelchair accessibility: They do have a path to get into the restaurant that is wheelchair accessible. Unfortunately, the restroom is inside and there are stairs.

Parking: Small parking lot

Friendly staff, great menu and specials. The atmosphere is busy and convivial without feeling overwhelming. Blankets and heaters for winter comfort. Parking: The parking lot has been really full every time I've visited, so I usually have to hunt for parking on the street. Also, across Mt. Diablo Blvd you can find some easy free parking a short walking distance away.
