Little Tokyo & Saigon

Had sushi, vegetable egg roll, vermicelli bowl, curry chicken. All were very good. Only complaint was that everything came at once. For the vermicelli this was good because it give the opportunity to put in the fresh Thai basil and let it steep a while. It comes to the table too hot to eat. But for the curried chicken it was a still warm but not hot. That could have been served later. Vegetarian options: I don't think they have any vegan options but they have several dishes with no animal protein.

I have had many amazing experiences at this restaurant. The atmosphere is very calming and some tables feel private with the tropical decor. The only downside is that the restaurant is dark. They have a massive menu with Vietnamese, Japanese, & Chinese dishes, providing choices for every palette. I specifically love their sushi and vermicelli bowls. The fish is always fresh! I have not ordered any specialty rolls that I have not liked. Make sure to try one of their specialty drinks, my favorite being the Headhunter. This is one of the best restaurants in Portsmouth; not many people know about it when I mention it. It deserves more recognition due to its high quality and friendly staff. Do yourself a favor and visit when you are in the area - you won't regret it.

Got takeout for lunch and the General Tao’s chicken was microwaved or somehow reheated. In any case, it wasn’t fresh. Ended up throwing most of it away.

Pricewise special rolls appear to be more reasonably priced, but you get what you pay for. Tried 5 different ones. Some better than others, but overall, it's not very good. The stir-fried steak dinner was really bad. The meat was literally like rubber, tasted bad.

I love this place. It's an absolute gem. Very casual, fun tiki-esque atmosphere. The menu is enormous, but literally everything on it is delicious. I come very regularly and love the pho, the vermicelli bowls. Chinese is perfect comfort food, and the sushi is excellent - fresh and flavorful. Just be careful with the cocktails - they'll knock you flat.

The food is always amazing here. The sushi is delicious, and the quality is consistent. If you're looking for affordable, yummy sushi, give this little restaurant a try!
