We gave this place 3 trys. And we will never go back. The food was okay. But the owner was screaming and blaming his employees for his mistakes. Twice we saw the owner berate and argue with customers. The owner is toxic. Unfortunately.
I’m glad Little Italy is back in Gainesville. Best pizza around.
Update: apparently instead of using a new listing, they're using the old listing from the Gainesville Square that closed 2 years ago. I updated the location to the correct one (where Sliced used to be, RIP). I have not been, but I'm leaving my previous rating and my old review is below.
Original review: Tried to go here last night but it was closed. According to Maps it should've been open, but not the first time they've had incorrect hours. I find out later via a Gainesville Times article that Little Italy has temporarily (or possibly permanently) closed after one week of business. What a shame. I tried updating the status on Maps, but we'll see if Google actually applies it.
Best marinara I’ve ever had!!
Went the other night for some pizza and really enjoyed ourselves. Great service but the real star of the show was the Sicilian Slice I got with pepperoni and mushrooms! We’ll definitely be back!
First time trying this place after the previous restaurant sliced closed. Maybe they needed time to find their footing according to the pics I. These other reviews but then I went it was very good. They have a pizza with honey pepperoni and basil that I got and it was honestly the best pizza I’ve had in Gainesville. Thin pizza NYC style but no soggy crust I seem to run into a lot of in this town. I’ll take pics next time but it’s worth the visit for sure. Would recommend for sure. I do wish that they’d get little numbers to put on the tables though. Instead of the guy having to walk around and call it out that system seemed a little flawed.
Our first time trying the place w/new (old) ownership. Owner and staff were SUPER nice. Pizza was great and very reasonably priced! We will definitely be back!
People who don't like the pizza here are probably vegans. The owner is great and the pizza is too 🇮🇹
Owner was very nice guy
Staff is very nice
Pizza was a joke (see pics)
This entire area is filled with restaurants that don't know how to prepare good food.
The lack of basic skills/knowledge in North Georgia is embarrassing for this state
