Being from philly I'm used to really good Jamaican Food. I ordered a LG jerk chicken which was dried out with hard clumped up rice. Truly first and last time for me. I suggest Irie over this
I ate here with my brother yesterday and omg it was the best food I have had in a longgggg time. I got the small oxtail and jerk chicken plate——1000/10. 10/10 hospitality and customer service, we ate inside because the vibes were great. I can not stress enough how much I enjoyed the food and overall atmosphere here
First off the person/people answering the phone taking orders is very unpleasant and unprofessional because they don’t greet you on phone nor say “thank you for your order”. Mac and cheese had only garlic and butter no cheese, candied yams were boiled sweet potatoes cut in wedges, green bananas were disguised to be sweet plantains and the jerk chicken was an abomination I called to specifically ask how they cook the jerk chicken and they said “on the grill” well they must cook jerk on a gas grill or George Foreman grill because it had absolutely no flavor and it was cold they should hire me to cook the jerk cause mines is 100 times better…I posted a pic of stew beef roti which looks like dog food on a tortilla skin. Paid $35 for oxtail jerk chicken combo and got only 3 and half oxtails bones, the curry chicken roti only had the bottoms of drumsticks & 1 chicken neck. There’s no way the potatoes in a fresh pot of stew beef supposed to turn brown almost black in color all the way through. Save your time and money going here just cook it yourself, you’ll get the same results.
Great Curry Chicken Place was clean and they are nice
Best place I've eaten at since I moved here, I been here 3x in a week and told 10 people about it in that time, my new go to spot for sure
Come here! Don't hesitate to try this place. My wife and I stopped here while in the area. The service was great with the staff providing recommendations. The atmosphere was a vibe. The food was wonderful. We both ordered oxtail with plantain and everything was cooked to perfection. We spent around $68 (including tip). We would 1000% return if/when back in the area.
Hands down . Definitely the best Caribbean food in Charlotte. So far I have tried whiting fish, curry chicken stewed beef all 10/10 . Their sides are even better! Worth it
