Went into laura secord. Not expecting much but leaving with everything. The girl working behind the counter was very friendly and had a very kind soul. You could tell she really cared about what we were saying and was not just trying to get rid of us. I believe her name was Samoa! But she gave 10/10 service and was very funny!

Very bad experience. When you have kids at your store treat them well. Your rules are not more important than your customers’ experience. Never hire people who hate their jobs. Business owners get surprised when business do down the hill. If the owner of this store may read this message, be on the top of your business.

Extremely Disappointing Experience at Laura Secord in Hfx Shopping Center! Today at 8:05pm, I visited the ice cream shop that I have been a loyal customer of since 2019, and I must say, this visit left a sour taste in my mouth. Being a regular, I had high hopes for a delightful experience, especially since I was excited to introduce my family to their flavors. Unfortunately, the new staff member at the counter turned what should have been a pleasant outing into a humiliating and disappointing encounter. Right from the moment we entered, the new woman at the counter displayed an unwelcoming attitude. She appeared to look down upon us and treated us as if we were an inconvenience. When my sisters wanted to sample a few flavors before making their final choice, she made it seem like they were bothering her, and even exchanged judgmental expressions with a friend nearby. This behavior was incredibly off-putting and not in line with the friendly atmosphere that the shop had previously offered. What struck me the most was her lack of basic customer service etiquette. She never greeted us, and her demeanor was far from pleasant. In an attempt to lighten the mood, I inquired about the previous staff member who had always been friendly. However, instead of responding cordially, the new employee immediately shut down the conversation in a confrontational manner, implying that I was causing a problem. Her tone was rude and her words were condescending, making me feel embarrassed and even questioning if there might have been an undertone of racism in her behavior. The incident left me deeply disturbed and saddened. It's astonishing how a simple interaction, affected by body language, choice of words, and tone, can completely mar what should have been a delightful outing. As a loyal customer, I had never expected to be treated in such a disrespectful manner. I informed the staff member that this would be my last visit to the shop, as her behavior had not only humiliated me but also tarnished the positive memories I had associated with the place. In conclusion, I sincerely hope that the management of the ice cream shop takes note of this incident and addresses the issue of unprofessional behavior among their staff. Customers visit not only for the delicious treats but also for the overall experience, which includes the way they are treated. This experience has left me hesitant to return and, in turn, tarnished my impression of a place that was once a favorite.

Purchased two ice cream cones yesterday. The size of the scoops have shank considerably in the past four months leaving us feeling disappointed and taken advantage of. Maybe it was hard to scoop for the employee because the ice cream was very soft....in that case just don't sell it please because we went for hard ice cream.

Used to be good, but now a bad service and the quantity is so little. They used to use Laura Secord paper cups for a scoop of ice cream, but now a styrofoam cup with a couple of bites ice cream inside. The lady who served us seemed she didn't want to be there.

The girl that was working there was extremely rude, unprofessional, and Basically wanted us out so she wouldn’t make any more waffles. Unfortunately I don’t remember her name but it starts with an M. HORRIBLE customer service as it was my first time in the store and last. Wherever we would stand she would tell us, not ask tell us to move I think that should be enough to show you how terrible the customer service is there.

Visited Laura Secord at the Halifax location. Picked up some of their classic chocolate bars which are always high quality. Staff were friendly and knowledgeable.
