Very good food at a good price.
I Go to Laughing Planet a lot. This one is not up to par. Chicken was VERY tough and not seasoned. Chipotle sauce was like tomato sauce. This was there 2nd chance with me an they blew it both times.
Racist stuff refused to Asian people and told me go away because he's not capable and busy. Terrible customer service and education
We eat from this place a lot because it is relatively healthy and quick, but it is wildly hit or miss. Our dinner tonight had no sauce! This is not unusual. I expect to have to put my own sauce on. Often they put cheese on the bottom of the bowl so that it fuses with the paper bowl making it completely inedible.
We went late afternoon and the place had been pretty empty. The food was exactly as expected - a mini, really is mini, but still portioned well. It was clean and friendly.
I love their salads. I have a nut allergy and it's hard to find cafes like this that can reliably make good salads without cross contamination. I've heard most of their other, non-salad items can be hit or miss though.
Ordered a seasonal bowl with the tempeh protein, delicata squash, grated beats & such, nice sauce topping, all wonderfully prepared, nice music playing in the background at a pleasant happy volume. Every time I’ve come, it’s been pleasant, nice interactions with the workers as well, I appreciate that. Vegetarian options: Tempeh nicely prepared
Well that burrito and order experience sucked! I ordered a burrito to be picked up through the website. I modified the burrito to include avocado (it costs an extra $2 to do this, I find the addition of the avocado worth it and for me it improves the taste of the burrito) Never had a problem like this over the 6 years I have been coming to LP until today. When I arrived, I looked in the bag and noticed the avocado was in it's own container in the bag and outside of the burrito. I was perplexed and confused, since how was I supposed to put the avocado slices into my to go burrito when I was not even near my own home and kitchen? So, I asked about why this was so and they said it was a mistake, so I asked if they could unfold and add the avocado slices into the burrito for me. The three young men got very glum looks on their faces and two of the employees turned and walked away into the kitchen, while the young man that seemed to be working the front counter explained that they would have to make a new burrito and they were not allowed to reopen up the one they had made for my order. So, I asked for them to remake the burrito and add in the avocado I had paid for, explaining why it would not work for me. Plus I paid the extra $2 for the avocado online, and I wasn't sure how they would re-reimburse me the $2. It was going downhill fast, but I was hoping the burrito maker was going to do a good job making a new burrito. Wrong! He left the sauce out and put the avocado at the ends of the burrito rather than dispersed evenly throughout the burrito and hardly any chicken. Since I was not eating in the restaurant but taking it away, It made it look like he was banking on me not doing anything about the decline in quality of my burrito. He was getting even with me for "making" him reverse his mistake. Not going back, unless I get a full refund. And I am not sure I want to deal with Laughing Planet ever again. It 's not that great a place to eat anymore and the service today was LAME and below standard. I also predict this particular young man wont be there much longer based on my experience of his poor attitude and service. If I saw him making anything in the kitchen, I would not order or stick around to eat what he prepared.
