Was super excited to try this place and sooo disappointed. unfortunately waited over an hour and a half for our food with empty drinks. Tables seated well after us who were served food first. No one checked up on us throughout the dinner. After an hour and a half we just asked them to make it a to go order and asked for the check. They bring out the check and food still isn’t there. I don’t know if they were understaffed, unprepared or what. I mentioned I was disappointed on the way out and no one really seemed to care. A couple of half hearted apologies. A discount, communication, or an explanation could have changed the entire experience. No one seemed interested in that.
I was so excited to try the staple dish of steamed catfish. It knocked my socks off! Service was excellent. Only thing I didn't like was that the steamed vegetables were unseasoned
Come for the food not the atmosphere. Amazing flavors. Fantastic Lao beer. Oh that beer is yummy The atmosphere could use a refresh but as I mentioned come for the food.
I had 4 pork egg rolls. Wow! Best in town so far and the sweet and sour was finished by this happy customer without any egg rolls left; no shame in that. The vegitarian egg rolls are likely just as fresh and maybe even more tasty! [will try next time (: ]
3.8/5 decent introduction to laotian cuisine if you've never had it before. Not all the dishes on the menu are traditional laotian food, but you'll find a few. We had the laotian fried rice and the larb for $38. Pretty good food. The quality of the meat was slightly above average. The larb was pretty tasty and limey. The fried rice was solid too. Overall, I would recommend it because there aren't many laotian food places in the US and this place is a decent introduction to the cuisine.
