La Villa Mexican Grill Longboat Key

Very nice service staff, very efficient service. Authentic - and excellent - Mexican food. On Wednesday's they have a Mariachi band. Very talented. Traditional Mariachi style music and more modern songs. In fact, their version of Hotel California tonight may have been the best version I ever heard. A nice night out within walking distance to our home.

We love La Villa on Longboat Key. It is a hidden gem on the island. Superb food, excellent service, and ambiance. Do yourself a favor and frequent. Do all of us who have been there a favor and keep it here!

La Villa is a welcome addition to food choices in LBK. The steak burrito is really great! The rice and beans on the side could be more generous portion wise but tasty! Shout out to Luis. Great waitperson with good personality!

This spot is the real deal. Excellent rich flavors, fresh food, and prideful service. Who would’ve thought this little restaurant on Longboat would have the best Mexican food in SRQ? I know now. Fantastic chips, guacamole, and salsas are awesome (love the spicy!), and the carnitas tacos were on point. The fried beans and rice are the best I’ve had in SWFL. #Recommend. Going back tomorrow. Parking: Plenty of spots in the back.

Longboat residents are so lucky to have La Villa Mexican Grill in their own backyard! I've been to every Mexican restaurant in the Sarasota/Bradenton area and La Villa undoubtably tops the list. If you want authentic Mexican cuisine with Mexico City roots look no further. This family owned restaurant makes everything from scratch; from the tamarin style salsa and creamy jalapeño dip to the homemade flan. The tacos are the real deal. The chicken Pablo is a definite winner and the mole is as good as any I've ever had. I'm truly excited to try everything from the menu. Not to mention live mariachi Wednesday nights. I love this place!
