La Taquisa Langford

I've been going to LA taquista for years now and unfortunately recently (about the last 6 months) quality of the burrito have deteriorated, they are putting less stuff in them so they no longer need to stretch the shell around it, this makes the burrito sort of flat and sad, not as well held together and consequently harder to eat, the price has gone up, not unexpected these days, but the quality going down is a serious problem! The ingredients are not as well held together and they fall out while you're eating it, in addition to changing from lettuce to purple cabbage (originally a shortage of lettuce, likely retained due to cost) I really hope they come back up to their old standard and will repost a better review if and when it does.

Great food is made all the better with friendly service. Absolutely love that you can see your tortillas being made by hand after you place your order!

It was delicious. There were way more chips than expected in the chips and salsa. Had lots to take home. Was a bit chilly in the building, but nothing some extra spice couldn't fix.

Fun and fast Mexican. I enjoy both locations, and trust them to make it delicious every time! Love their eco-savvy garbage station also.

Unremarkable... I had the Pork Chorizo burrito and oh surprise...my first bite was crunchy something that for a Burrito Connoseour it's a red flag... Real burritos are not supposed to be crunchy There was red cabbage inside hence the crunchiness ( I was expecting lettuce instead The size was ok or maybe it was the tiny plate where it was serve, so I have to be very careful not to spill the content of mostly canned refried beans with a few pieces of tomatoes, some crated cheese and a generous portion of pork chorizo which tasted more like ground pork with ol' El Paso Seasoning The menu was kind of hard to read mostly because it won't make any sense when trying to figure what you want. I wouldn't came back for seconds anytime soon mostly because the burrito was $14.50 and the tacos are way to expensive $4.00 a piece and for a guy like me would take at least 5 tacos to make my day...and that will not include chips or salsa..so do the Math. People it's saying best taco game on town...I would say go out a bit more

My wife and I each had a burrito here for lunch and, while both the chicken and beef were absolutely delicious and the hot sauces were on point, we found the portion sizes to be quite small for the price. The largest burrito, the El Gordo, was $19+ tax and was only marginally bigger than my wife's regular and it was mostly just extra beans. I couldn't help but feel disappointed despite the great quality and flavour of the food. That said, the ladies working there were great. They were friendly and efficient and because they were out of beer they provided me with a free San Pellegrino as a consolation prize.
