Excellent service, the owner looked after us so well, great food, best lasagne, and the best olives we have ever had, tiramisu was fantastic. Highly recommended
Service wasn't amazing from all staff. The menu was a set menu and desserts weren't up to much. However I had cheesy garlic mushrooms to start outstanding. The pizza was fresh, toppings were really tasty would deffinatly recommend for food quality and taste. Service wasn't awful but was OK expected better. Pricing was a little on the higher than expected side but the food backs up the price. Quality of photos are quite poor pictures don't do it justice
Not one to write reviews but we just had the most disappointing Valentine’s Day meal... My partner and I live local and had never visited here before but heard good things from those around us (although they did visit around 2 years ago) so decided to give it a go. Money is tight so eating out isn’t something we do often so you can imagine the disappointment when we realised that we could have made a much nicer meal ourselves. To begin with, staff avoided making eye contact with us the whole time so we were sat waiting to order anything for about 30 minutes. When we finally did, we were only then told that they weren’t offering the set menu that night so we then needed to send wait staff away so we could make a different decision all over again. We asked for a jug of water, possibly the most simple request ever, and it never arrived! They managed to remember to put it on the receipt though. The food did come out quickly thankfully! I ordered the king prawns main and the waitress who took our order was very helpful and said she’d ask them to take the shells off for me so I appreciate that. however, I was presented with 6 very small prawns. I believe this dish was around £26 so this was astonishing. The meal was nice but I was still hungry afterwards and not willing to spend a penny more. My partner had a ‘tender beef’ dish that was far from tender, in fact so dry he couldn’t finish it, which is not like him at all. He also got a mixed vegetable side that looked like some veg out of a bag from Tesco’s frozen aisle. We’ve worked in a restaurant ourselves so we understand that it was probably a busier night than usual and perhaps everyone was a bit stressed but both service and food was so poor that we won’t ever come back. Also, I don’t really see how they can justify the prices they charge when the restaurant is literally in Skewen, not a particular nice location, prices you would expect down the Mumbles for example. The waiter at the end did ask if everything was okay, I think he could see from the large amount of leftover food on my partner’s plate and our willingness to get out of there that we weren’t happy. My partner was working a night shift shortly after so we simply didn’t have time to be sending food back and didn’t feel comfortable enough to complain due to some staff’s level of ignorance. Save your money and get an M&S dine in meal instead.
Went on valentine's day, booked table for 7.30. was seated not too long after the allocated time. Had some moctails which were lovely. Then ordered a load of starters as mains. The food was tasty and plenty of it. Staff were friendly. Atmosphere was very nice. Warm and cosy. Highly recommend.
