La Carreta Mexican Restaurant

Amazing!!!!! Very good Mexican food! The service was excellent and El cazuelon was delicious!! The place was nice and clean!

A favorite place for 4 years now and such an amazing spot. Food is great, drinks are great and the wait staff is the best. Always clean and reasonably priced.

Was visiting Portsmouth with family from out of town and stopped here for dinner. We have tried the Manchester locations and always have a good experience. This location was just as good. Excellent food and service. No complaints.

La Carreta has the best Mexican food ever! I love Mexican food, but the food at La Carreta was above any I've had. The shrimp cocktail was bursting with flavor, it was far from anything we've had before. The entree was a dish for 2, I don't remember the name but it was a mix of meats, cheese, and peppers in a rock bowl with tortillas. The smoky flavors were so good, it was a lot of food and so good. We came by for lunch another day and ordered the tortilla soup and chilli verde enchiladas. The tortilla soup was the absolute best I've ever had!! It was so rich in flavor, not bland, I loved it. The chili verde enchiladas were so good, again very deep flavors. Our waiters were perfect, our drinks stayed filled and food came out at a nice rate. This is such a surprise in the Portsmouth restaurants, it's my absolute favorite and we'll be back when we are in the area.

I got take out Carne Asada for lunch yesterday and it was the best I've ever had. So good!
