Kura Revolving Sushi Bar

Genuinely a fantastic experience. I am brand new to the DMV area and went here just by happenstance. I didn’t expect to get much as far as service since it’s a conveyor belt place (no diss! simply bc the food comes to you without you necessarily having to order anything), but wow, the service was great! What a fun relaxed atmosphere, it seems like the people who work there really enjoy each other and their jobs. One server even made sure to double check that I’d gotten a prize after I’d been admiring their limited time pikmin-themed prizes which seriously made my day. I really wanted that prize lol. Food was yummy too. What a great time, will def be back!!! Thanks everyone for making my first weekend alone in DC something to remember! :)

The best sushi place I've ever been to so far for a quick bite or chill.... The food has good quality as well as proper for handling for the customer to retrieve their selective dish.... Awesome....

A must go if you love sushi! The quality is actually really good. My favorite thing that keeps being me coming back is the "hand roll" and the sweet bean paste fish dessert! So bomb! It's reasonably priced. A robot also brings your drink to you! I definitely feel like I'm in Japan every time I come here. The only negative is it's very small (both locations DC & Tyson's) so there can be long wait times however I prefer the Tyson's location, the service is better there. At this location they have a bunch of teens / young adults that acted like they hated being there and hated their job. Other than that, everything else is a 10/10 an experience highly recommended.

The sushi at Kura Sushi Bar is top notch sushi for a surprisingly affordable price. The revolving conveyor belt perpetually advertises each menu item as it passes right by your table. All you have to do to select your food is grab it off said conveyor as desired. At just $3.70 a plate for conveyor items, this is the most affordable sushi place I've ever eaten at. There is also a touch screen tablet that you may use to order specific sushi and kitchen items, expressly delivered on a separate conveyor. As a group of 5 avid sushi foodies, we were able to fill up on 33 plates, and cash out at just over $130, minus the tip for our wonderful waitress of course. Seeing as I could easily spend this much alone at any other high-end sushi bar, I'd have to recommend Kura as the best spot to get sushi with a group or even by yourself. To speak on the menu, there wasn't a single item that I tried that didn't exceed my high expectations. My favorite nigiri is mackerel, a hard fish to get right, but Kura delivered. The wasabi was grated, not the powdered stuff. I ate a whole two dollops of wasabi, it was that good. The Inari was sweet, tasting kind of like French toast. I definitely recommend the spicy rolls, as they packed a lot of flavor as well as spice.

I was in town for a convention and was convinced to go to Kura. It was my first time at a revolving sushi bar and it was a pretty fun time. The food was pretty good and came in surprisingly larger sizes than I expected. I liked the whole fast track belt as well. For a first time experience I really couldn't have asked for more. I will definitely visit the Kura near me in the future!

It’s a really good sushi spot for a good price. A lot of options. Sometimes it can be a little tricky on how to use the menu but you will get it. It could be cleaner but it’s fine.

Greeted with bright smiles and vibrant energy, I am grateful to have stumbled on this place. . In the center of Gallery Place, there are lots of attractions. Minutes away from the Capital One Arena, you can grab a quick bite before/after a game or enjoy a late night sushi run after the club. Regardless, Kura revolving Sushi Bar is a pleasant place to visit!!!
