Opened in early 2010, Kokomo’s Coffeehouse is the university’s first on-campus coffeehouse. Students and faculty alike enjoy the relaxed atmosphere and friendly service provided by Kokomo’s staff. The menu features a variety of items from coffee to smoothies and baked goods. It’s the perfect place to stop for a quick break to recharge between classes. The coffeehouse was founded by Tiwanna “Koko” Hagans, a 1994 JCSU alumna who wanted to bring her franchise back home to her alma mater. Sadly, Hagans died suddenly just months before the store opened, but her entrepreneurial spirit lives on as part of the university she loved so much.
