Attended their lunchbox cake decorating workshop for $90 per person, the instructors were super kind and helpful! We spent around ~2.5 hours decorating and designing the cakes, but could definitely use more help on the frosting haha. The cake tasted delicious once taken back home for consumption, but I’m not tooo sure if I would do another workshop again for $90+. Was a fun experience and on our bucketlist :’), glad we could do it!
Kitsby is no longer a cafe but rather a workshop class where you can choose between different dessert options! You sign up and book an appointment online and each class is roughly ~3 hours. The class we took was the pineapple cake class and it was soo much fun!! Not only was decorating the cakes a blast, but it tasted amazing too. I would love to come back and try their other workshops.
went for the classes, which they offer a variety of. class is very fun and involved, just wish it was longer to allow more time for participation and technique but will definitely go again!
The Kitsby Dessert Bar was a good experience. I went with my sister to the Brooklyn location on a rainy evening and there were plenty of tables available. We ordered 2 warm drinks and 3 desserts. My favorite was the Ceylon Rooftop because of the crunch and it wasn't too sweet. My sister loved their Thai Tea Lava Cake the last time she went, so she ordered the same thing this time too. We had plenty of time to chat and vibe to their music, which was a plus!
The matcha latte is so pretty and so good! Definitely would recommend!
