I have been coming here since they opened. Normally eating out, I would not go to a sandwich spot, but I make an exception for King + Bann. Their brisket is amazing and their soups are always good too. I would definitely recommend getting a pickle on the side with your order. It's the perfect lunch spot!
One of my favorite restaurants to frequent because I love sandwiches!! All of their selections are so so good. Be on lookout for specials!
Everyone i came here with was disappointed. Couldn’t finish our sandwiches
I am truly impressed with the service I received today. I ordered too early and called to ask if it was ready, it was and I mentioned I’d be 30 minutes late. When arriving, the order was re-made for me and fresh again. As this was my first time, it was greatly appreciated to get a fresh first bite, even though I made a mistake, they were quite to set the bar high. food was excellent, I’ve had them at folk fest but never visited their location in the city. Price was more than reasonable, and the flavour of the sandwich, soup and lemonade was 10/10.
Brisket Sammich was weak on meat (but tasty). Tomato soup was good. You can use all that extra bread for dunking. Staff courteous but not overly helpful. Pricey.
On road trips I try to sample local sandwich shops. This one came highly recommended per reviews. Originally wanted to try Hoagie Boyz but they were closed on Monday. I’m glad they were because I would’ve missed out on one of the best places I’ve been to. I couldn’t decide which sandwich to get and I saw them putting the cheese sauce on a sandwich they were making for someone else. Can’t say no to cheese sauce. That turned out to be the Philly sandwich! I was intrigued by the smoked Buffalo chicken so I got both. One for lunch one for later. Exceptional flavour. The bread was so soft and fresh. Unbelievable. A little pricy but you get what you pay for. I opted for their jalapeño Mac n cheese. It was alright. Their coleslaw was outta world. Hella fresh and packed with flavour. When I’m in Winnipeg again I’m definitely stopping by again.
The atmosphere is great. The bread to filling ratio of the sandwich is not. Too much bread not enough meat/veggies especially considering the price. Side potato salad was good. They don't serve their sandwiches on plates. This leads to quite a mess as you eat since the fixings fall/roll right off the boards. Not ideal when you need to look professional after lunch.
