Kickstand Kafe

Excellent coffee shop and a nice place to sit and start the day.

First a disclaimer. I'm a coffee snob, so most people probably won't care about this review, but I was disappointed that I was charged a specialty coffee price for my cortado for something that tasted so generic and bitter. It's possible it could have been slightly better if the barista bothered to take an extra second to level the dose in the portafilter before tamping, but I'm pretty sure they were using some cheap roast. This is mainly just a warning to anyone hoping, like me, that this is a "third wave" joint.

Good but expensive

We spent about 45 minutes waiting for food in the drive-thru. Honestly, felt forgotten about and started to wonder if they were even bringing us food. After a while a girl came and asked what we were waiting for. The burritos were good, but it's expensive. About $45 for two coffees and two burritos. I guess there's a service fee? That is not clear. Pricing on the menu is not what we paid at the window.

Quaint coffee shop. It is a big place plenty of room to work or visit. Has a comfortable fireplace area. Decent chai.

I love the atmosphere. I’m a vegetarian so it can be hard to find a good coffee and food I can eat. The bakery case was beautiful. The staff was super friendly and happy to help me with my order. The bagel with the vegetarian sausage was amazing. I ordered also a americano and I love the extra step they took to steam the cream to add to the top. That was super luxurious and a thoughtful touch. Great price, food, service, and location. I’m making this my go to spot.

I ordered a large latte and was charged $12 for it. The sign said 7$ for a large latte plus $1.50 for almond milk so i’m just confused where the extra almost $4 came from? I was never given a receipt or even told the total, until I checked my bank account. The latte was decent but definitely not worth the price in my opinion.
