A great place to try out new dishes in a really beautiful space. We made a dinner reservation for three on a Thursday night, and I'm glad we did because it was packed. The space is huge and there are tables for many different group sizes. We each got drinks (I got the Strawberry Limeade), and we split three entrees: the Massaman, Mango Fish, and Pork Belly. Each dish was flavorful and perfectly textured. My partner and I were in town to visit so we came to celebrate his sister's birthday early, and everyone we interacted with wished her a happy birthday. She even got her choice of sorbet on the house. We also ordered the Pistachio Cake to split. One small thing to note: during our meal, something black floated down from the ceiling and landed in our curry (I fished it out with my knife in the last photo). We were almost done with our meal at that point so didn't bother telling the staff. Overall though, we really enjoyed our meal and appreciated how attentive the service was. Definitely on the expensive side, so I would really only come back for a special occasion.
Our party had a fantastic time at Khaluna. We got sat at a nice cozy spot in the corner, our waiter Monty/Monte (didn't see the name written) was sorry friendly, helpful, and attentive. The food recommendations were good, they even had an entire menu for celiac's. The Basil Wings and Duck Fried Rice are favorites and they were for our table too! Dietary restrictions: They had a menu for noon-gluten eaters, very attentive to dietary needs. Parking: Valet was $10, but you can find street parking if you're willing to walk a block or two.
What a beautiful spot. The atmosphere is cozy and elegant at the same time. Service was excellent as well. We got lots of different dishes between the four of us. Highlights were the massaman curry and the duck fried rice. We got the jeows with sticky rice, which were not interesting or very tasty. No funk, little spice. The cocktails were bland, overly floral, and generally unbalanced. And while this is not meant to be a criticism, it's worth noting that this is a very expensive restaurant. You're paying for the overall experience, and for elevated versions of dishes that felt very familiar. We loved our dinner, but once is enough for me. Dietary restrictions: Excellent spot for those who have Celiac.
This restaurant is just incredible!! I've come here twice for dinner and both experiences have been amazing. The food is so delicious -- everything I've tried has been very very tasty and their flavors are so unique! Plus, not only is the food amazing, their cocktails are also so fun and creative. I love trying new dishes and drinks and you can't go wrong here! On my most recent visit I tried their chicken samosas and they were some of the best samosas I've ever had, I highly recommend them. On top of all this, the staff are friendly and knowledgeable, and very helpful pointing you in the right direction if you're not sure what to order. The ambiance of the restaurant is also just perfect, it's decorated so well and really sets the atmosphere of a romantic resort in a beautiful destination. I highly recommend this place if you're looking to try some amazing new dishes or wanting the perfect place for a special dinner! I can't wait to come back.
Made reservations day before and thank God i found this gem! Decided to come for brunch as our last meal before heading back home to Winnipeg, Manitoba Canada! And it did not disappoint. The ambience exceeded my expectations I felt like I was literally in a different country. Typically a place like this would up charge but nah. Was thrilled just walking into the place. Was greeted and was welcomed with a taster. It’s awesome ! Definitely resort vibes. We had the breakfast fried rice, Tom Kem and the signature basil wings. Along with the Bellini flight ! And ended off with the passion fruit cremeux! Presentation to taste 10/10! Although the dessert I saw pictures that it came with coconut ice cream which I didn’t receive on mine pretty disappointing I wish I could’ve tried it altogether because in sure it definitely would’ve elevated the flavours!! All in all I’m glad I got to experience this place definitely coming back ! Definitely best place I’ve tried in Minneapolis.!
Found this hidden restaurant. Great food
Sat in the back room. Really amazing food. I wasn’t a huge for the aged duck but other items were outstanding. An expensive tasty spot. Shrimp rolls were my favorite as well as the basil wings. Pork belly had excellent sauce.
Mango fish and shrimp rolls were fantastic, the Laksa was a bit underwhelming. Very nice ambiance and dining experience but ultimately wanted the food to be a bit better for the price
