Ken's Restaurant Deer Park, Texas

The kitchenette inside of W.T. Grants, where he worked for many years, was the inspiration for Ken Voltz to open his own kitchenette. February 3, 1970, Ken’s Taco Burger became a reality, located at 602 Center Street in Deer Park, Texas. The home-style cooking was a hit with the locals. Eventually, the restaurant relocated to the second location in the Boot Barn Shopping Center. Ken’s son, Randy, built and opened the current location at 1122 Center Street in 1990. Ken’s has been serving the same delicious, homestyle food ever since. You can still find Randy interacting with customers, many of whom have become lifelong friends.
