Our chef with Johnny honestly truly was awesome he was extremely entertaining and exceptionally knowledgeable about his profession. Our waiter was Dixie, he was extremely polite and attentive. We actually love this place and we go here a couple of times a month because everybody seems to be awesome. Update my wife and I came today and Jala was our waitress and Hector was our chef. Both were truly amazing. I highly recommend this wonderful establishment to anyone that wants a great meal with amazing staff.

* ADA UNFRIENDLY! So insulted, my date and I walked out. We somehow offended the hostess and other staff by forcing them to do what their job description requires them to do. It’s a sad day when the staff is groaning and eye rolling over a simple request. I have a bad back and the high top tables don’t work for me, can we sit in a booth? No, that section is closed at 8:30pm. I asked her to ask a manager and that didn’t go over well. So if you have to park in handicapped parking, don’t expect ANY accommodations or even a polite and respectful “ no “. I gave a fantastic review last time I ate here so I was hopeful to catch the five star magic again. A pair of bad hires set the tone for my neighborhood Kanki from fantastic two months ago to rude and insulting. I was absolutely presented with the what the hell are you doing here asking me to feed you and your date “ attitude “ so the hours of operation are they posted open till 9:00pm. But at 8:36pm. Everything is closed and blocked but the high top tables at the bar. For disabled people, well tough poo, delivered by hostess and manager. The posted 9:00 pm closing time is a lie. I guess it’s only for the door dashers. Just be honest and say to go only after 8:00 pm. That would have saved me the public insult. Some adults own this restaurant but they choose very young people focused on getting rid of the customers especially the old ones so they can walk out at 8:59pm. I regret that my last review was so positive based on one visit. So please reduce it by 50 % based upon tonight’s sub McDonald’s experience. Jim Boyle KF4COO

Kanki has been around 40 plus years in this area. It's probably the best hibachi place you will find. We really love this place..

Have really went down hill. Prices go up, choices go down, and the wait staff they hire now is pathetic. To get a fresh drink and refills seems impossible. We used to go once a month, haven't been since December and won't be back anytime soon. Not to mention the wait times are ridiculous. Won't be long before business dwindles off if they don't change

The food was good, but the service was not! My first time waiting an hour to get the main course and get refills. We will not be visiting again!

Rude staff. I was the only black person at my table, 5 were Latino with my spouse being one, 3 were Caucasian. I was not at the end on either side of our table. He skipped me when serving food each time and gave my portion to someone else. He had no intention of rectifying the situation until I said something to him. It was intentional and not part of the show. This is the 2nd time the same chef has done this to me. This is unacceptable .
