J.W. Beverette's Soul Food

So I ordered fried pork chops (smothered) with a bed of rice yams, fried okra, corn bread and pound cake! Pork chops were good 8/10, corn bread was terrible 0/10. Rice-ehh it’s rice. Gravy was definitely not homemade it was brown crazy from the pack with added water 2/10. I was so excited about the yams to just be disappointed!! They tasted like cinnamon water.. literally disgusting -2/10(negative 2). The pound cake also disappointing because why was it heated up for one and I think y’all left the cake out of the pound! Like I’m pissed I spent $50 on two plates subs two desserts just to be able to eat the rice and pork chops!! Oh yeah I forgot about the soggy fried okra! Man that food was so disgusting and disappointing that I don’t even wanna drive by the restaurant because I’m going to have flashbacks of how nasty the food tasted and of how much money I wasted!! Service was excellent though!! So if you want a place with great service but food that you wouldn’t even feed your animal then this is the place for you!! CAN I HAVE MY FREAKING $50 back?!?

Most humble down to earth people I ever known. The food was amazing, cooked to order, the place was packed but they were very efficient taking orders while waiting on the line. The wait was worth it. The place was very clean, hey if you go to a restaurant and the bathroom is clean as this one is, that is sign off cleanliness and order. bless you guys and may your restaurant prosper and multiply.

Great food you will not be disappointed

Best thing I ate during my week in Montgomery was at this amazing establishment. Everyone must try this absolute gem. I can't wait to return!
