Tried the saltenas and chilean empanadas. The saltenas were great, but the chilean was kinda bland. A little on the pricier side at $7.77 per empanada. $10 minimum for credit card.
The staff were polite. I had a Jamaican empanada and the spice to it was quite nice, it had a low slow heat that built to a decent kick.
I tried one of their three best-selling empanadas (the Chilean: ground beef, hard-boiled egg, olives and raisins) and was disappointed. While the crust was decent and not doughy, the filling was bland. And at $8 (tax included), it seemed overpriced.
Took a 20 out from the ATM for two empanadas. Gave the cashier my $20 and he walked away with my money to the back and never gave me change.
Empanadas are good, but the guy that was working there was super unpleasant and rude.
The flavors are very different. I went for Chipotle, Jamaican, and Apple. They were delicious for fast food. I would go back and get another. I think the place can be a little cleaner, and better in the details of the place.
I bought two different types of empanadas from here based on the positive Google reviews, but I was highly disappointed. I can't see how anyone who's eaten some authentic empanadas can recommend this place. The crust was a bit soggy and the meat was bland and had a sloppy texture. Whoever made these must have done the bare minimum. Maybe they were rushed? Whatever the reason, I won't go back.
We picked up a bunch of empanadas from here and ate them as we walked around the city. They were all delicious!
