Jonah's and next to it, Oyster Bar, are my favorite seafood restaurants in Peoria (IL). Jonah's was operating when I first came to Peoria in 1977, and the Oyster Bar was added around 1985. The Jonah's side was updated several years ago and provides a great view of the Illinois river and downtown Peoria: Making the atmosphere of the two restaurants amazing. Jonah's has a full menu of delicious seafood entrees but also many other options for those who aren't crazy about seafood. So you don't have to worry about everyone in your party liking fish because there are numerous other options available for meat eaters. The Oyster Bar is more informal, and has an eclectic menu which has various seafood, sandwich and appetizer choices. All good. I worked in Long Island at a seafood restaurant at Montauk Point for three summers in the late sixties and ate at many excellent seafood houses. Not one of them was any better than what you will experience at Jonah's/Oyster Bar. Highly recommended. Parking: I've never had a problem finding a spot but it gets very busy at certain times so best to go early or a little later to avoid crowds, especially on the weekends. Wheelchair accessibility: It is wheelchair accessible.on both sides.
