Great place .. right on North Ave. it’s been a staple in Elmwood park …goes way back to 1961 chargrilled sausage is so good .. Beef is good..I also love the combo beef and sausage.. and of course you have to add sweet peppers.. or hit both are awesome!There fries are so good. Yummy pepper and egg sandwich and a good non traditional tamale.They have good hot dogs also. Theres a couple tables outside if you want to eat there.Just a great place to eat if you want beef or sausage! Now.. we can’t forget .. about there Italian ice .. great on a hot summer day!!

The best Chicago Italian beef sandwich in the entire city. I wish it was closer I would go more often.

A FB post led me here and I'm usually not on this side of town but I just so happened to be and decided to pop in, as I am on a mission to find the best beefs in Chicago and surrounding burbs! So I ONLY got the beef, no fries. I had it well dipped with peppers, and the peppers were spicy which I love, lots of spots give you salty peppers not here, if you like heat you'll enjoy the peppers on the beef. They dipped it perfectly well and the bread was nice and soaked like I like, now I will say the seasoning was a bit heavy, so that's why I say 4 stars I need low sodium But some folks may like it like that. I would Def go back here if in this area again! Forgot pics...
