Fun place on Fri/sat nights for an appetizer (the beef tips are so good- spicy and juicy) and a couple drinks while we listen to classic cover bands upstairs.
An honest, NO BS, review

Upstairs or downstairs the atmosphere is cozy, well-taken-care-of, and inviting. Service has been a delight; the kind that still remembers to refill a glass before fully empty and does a two-minute taste check. The food is delicious. The lobster bake to chip ratio is perfect and salted just right. Between the bake and the corned beef springrolls, I'd choose the bake, but the speingroll do have an addictive crunch; maybe a little dry if eaten without the thousand island dressing. Their burgers are large and messy in a good way, and cooked exactly how I asked. Their whiskey salmon is tender but meant for a sweet tooth; very syrupy. The mashed potatoes with it are delicious and the carrots too with the sweet sauce. Definitely in the top five places to stop at in Farmington Hills.
Okay, don't order a cosmo. As a former bartender, nope. Other than that? Wonderful. The portions are huge and shareable, the Shepherds Pie was huge and 2 of use split it.
Overall, loved it. And yes, a cosmo isn't an English drink, but they were out of my wine choice. Not their fault.
We recently had a memorial for my Uncle and the service and food were perfect. We had 100+ guests and the staff was so attentive and comforting and had everything handled. We would most definitely recommend them for future events. It felt like family which was so fitting for a memorial luncheon.
Stop by for a quick bite the other weekend and was meet with a pleasant atmosphere and lovely staff. Portions could have been larger for the price but overall good food!!
The wife and I went Saturday night to hear the band. The service was excellent, and the food was good. I enjoyed the Shepard's pie and the wife said her turkey reuben was nice.
Very nice atmosphere. Good food. Friendly service.
Excellent service and food!
Our bartender poured me a pint of Guinness by putting the glass vertically sitting under the tap, which I am pretty sure is a war crime in some countries. A pint of Guinness also costs $8.50.
Bar was sticky and the place was dead on a Saturday night. We probably won't be back.
Came here with high expectations based on other reviews. Could not have been more disappointed. Arrived at 5:30p, which should be a busy time. The furniture and decor remains unchanged from decade to decade. Sorely outdated at this point, and immediately sends the message that the owners just don’t care. Sat at the bar and there was only one other patron who was on her way out. I ordered a Tom Collins, which the bartender didn’t know how to make so I switched to a simple two ingredient drink that anyone could pour. I ordered the French Dip based on the server’s recommendation. What I got was some sort of steak sandwich. It was not a French Dip. It came with house made kettle chips. There was no flavor to anything. Chips were unsalted, the sandwich had no flavor. I can say the steak was cooked perfectly, but without seasoning it really was a waste. And why was there chunks of steak on a French Dip, which should be a thinly sliced roast beef sandwich? This was served on a ciabatta bun. It was the size of a hamburger bun, also strange but that was not the deal breaker. It was served with “au jus” which I put in quotes because whatever bottled concoction it was could only be described as soy sauce flavored with a bit of beef bouillon. It was so salty it was inedible. I don’t know what that was, but it was just awful. It also came with a horseradish dip and that was good. The food wasn’t horrible except for the fake au jus, but it was bland, not a French Dip, and quite small. The sandwich was $21 or $22 While I was eating, the two tables near the bar finished their meals and left. The server brought their dirty glasses stacked up to the bar and placed them next to me I was the only person at the bar!! Eating! Did not appreciate a bunch of dirty dishes set next to me! I was left alone at the bar for eighteen minutes waiting to pay my bill. I was literally the only customer there. Definitely will not be back. This place is clearly getting by based on their reputation, but this is not the pub it used to be.
Good food. Very nice waitresses
Great burger…and had my favorite beer on tap (Alaskan Amber). Live music on the weekends. A friendly neighborhood bar/restaurant.
Food was good, could have been better with more spices, salt and pepper.
Great food and environment.
