Good pizza, it feels like about the closest thing I can get to NY pizza on the seacoast, where Greek pizza (while good) is the standard fare. I like dropping in at lunch, having a few slices and being on my way in under 15 minutes if need be. I, too, have eaten pizza in NY when I lived there, but unlike most of these reviewers, I don't think paying rent in Manhattan makes me an expert on what makes a good pizza. I've eaten plenty of 'only OK' pizza in NYC as well. There's nothing magical that makes the pizza there good; just good ingredients and a good recipe. This reminds me of NY Pizza. Real good pizza and friendly staff though. I've never met the rude staff that people have mentioned; everyone is always really friendly, though I always go in during the lunch shift, so maybe nights the people are rude? I don't know. I edited this review years later...as now 15 bucks for lunch is the standard fare in this area. Joe's used to be on the more expensive side for lunch, but now it's par for the course, and therefore I shouldn't ding it for that.
One of the best tasting pizzas in the area.
Pizza slices were old and dry
A little local pizza joint that gets the basics just right. Ordered a half and half pizza, buffalo and 4 cheese to test it out. The buffalo sauce was tangy with heat and complimented the four cheese given its basic presentation. Crust is great, breads just right and the dough is a little on the softer end given its NY styling. Overall, great lil spot to grab a fast slice. We will be back.
I've been to a couple locations and unfortunately this one has been by far the worst. The website items are inconsistent with what is available at the location, and the food that is available was not quality. The chicken bomb calzone had next to no chicken, and was tasting off. The fried dough balls were a couple cinnamon knots that were dusted with so much cinnamon I gagged when trying to swallow some. The garlic knots were just overly oiled bits of dough that tasted subpar. We also tried a bacon pineapple pizza that was just a mess in general. I won't be trying this location out again, as I have had better experiences with their other locations, and recommend you consider elsewhere. Friendly staff, just not food worth the price.
NOT NY pizza not even close
Pizza was good and the people were friendly
I went in here and bought 4 slices which were $30 the food was cold and the slices were hours old I don't recommend this place
