This is the best soul food restaurant out here in NC, the vibes were immaculate. The food was perfect!! The meat was falling off the bone good. The music was based off of what the customers wanted. The staff was literally like long lost family. They welcomed us with open arms into their business. The food is very affordable but absolutely delicious. We met JJ and his mom very sweet people. I would 100% come back here!

so we moved here a couple of months ago & have been searching for soul food since. I’ve been wanting to try this place but every time I have thought about it they’ve been closed for break or what not. We finally got the chance to try it & let me tell you I can not be more satisfied. The food was DELICIOUS. The owner was so sweet! Even the kitchen crew was nice! What a wonderful experience, we will for sure be back! I also wanted to mention how grateful we should be that this place gives back to the community. Right at the front door they have a place set up for the struggling to take what they need. I wish more places were like this. We had the terriyaki salmon which was perfectly cooked. The mac & cheese? BUSSIN. the collard greens were FAR from average! I have literally no complaints whatsoever. everything I tried was phenomenal.

Me and my wife got two dinners tonight! I got the oxtail over rice with yams and cabbage and she got the turkey wings over rice with Mac and cheese and collards the food was amazing!!!!

Y'all are missing out if you haven't tried this place yet!!! You will not be disappointed.

My father and I just ate at this magnificent restaurant. If you want a mother's love in the kitchen this is the place. Atmosphere is a vibe! The owner is friendly and accommodating to your needs. The waitress was fast paced also nice to talk to! Come on down we need to support this business! Sincerely !

I have been here multiple times and it is always a pleasure. Although I arrived a little before closing they were all very kind and accommodating! The food is always superb! Will be back again!

great food all of it was fresh. food was hot when it arrived at our table not like some other place. Fair price, large portions. Pork chops were on point would highly recommend.

This afternoon before visiting family, my husband and I came from Mount Airy, just to dine at this delightful most amazing soul food restaurant. We have been trying to make it to the restaurant for months, today was the day time was our side. You will see beef ribs, mac and cheese, collard and cabbage mix, fried okra, potato salad, pork chops, buffalo wings and to top it off homemade cornbread in the picture. I hope your mouth just watered. The beef ribs are to die for. My husband and I have traveled a lot and I do a lot of blogging about food. The food was amazing, the best soul food restaurant ever. If you want/wish to take your palate to a different level, visit the restaurant. We most definitely will be returning soon. Keep in mind great food is worth the wait.
