Delicious! There are plenty of vegan options available across the menu. Lots of impossible meat if you’re a fan of that. The spicy creamy vegan ramen is super good!
Great environment, I like its style. The noodle potion is way too small (I'm 180lb and can easily finish 2 bowls) and it's really salty ( I have to add my water in it). Noodle itself is hard. Ordered 2 kids meals, first came after we all adults finished our food and they forgot there is another one.
I've been here multiple times now, and never a bad experience. Love the seasonal special ramen, but the JINYA Tonkotsu Black is hands down the favorite! The spicy umami miso ramen is also delicious, especially with thin noodles. It's worth the 30+ minute drive from where I live. Dietary restrictions: They have GF noodles, but last time I checked, none of their ramen broths were GF. I do not recommend this place for anyone with celiac. Parking: It's located in an up and coming area, so parking can be difficult, especially at night and on the weekends when all the restaurants are open and busy.
Dietary restrictions: Has vegan options
Highly recommended by one of our traveling companions and she was totally right. Our server, Sung, was excellent, had to answer a lot of questions for us. He definitely steered us in the right direction. We'll plan to be back next trip to KC.
Host (blonde tall guy) was unaccomodating and rude to our simple request that we'd be seated at a table since we had a toddler. Still took us to the bar, blatantly rolled his eyes, shook his head and left us hanging. Another host gave up the table they promised to give us to another party so we wasted our time waiting. We called beforehand for a reservation but they told us we didn't need to because it wasn't busy. Such horrible hosts for a place with great atmosphere and the servers seemed friendly.
Jinya Tonkatsu Black ramen was great! Clean & trendy atmosphere. Definitely coming back
$3 for 3 leaves of bok choy (you can get a literal bunch at Walmart for that price), $17 for chicken ramen with 2 pathetically thin slices of chicken, the spinach was still frozen in the bowl, pay attention to your receipt because they won’t give you happy hour discounts, and the server will be missing in action until it’s time for you to pay and hovers while you do it. After everything said and done it was about $40 per person which is quite a bit more expensive then most ramen places I’ve been to.
The food was just okay for the prices. Don’t order extra bok choy because you’ll pay 4 bucks for literally 2 leaves. happy hour prices weren’t implemented and our server was nowhere to be found until it was time to pay then proceeded to stand over me waiting until I pulled my wallet and and handed my card. Not a great experience overall.
