Very classic American diner
Service was great. Food prices was good.
Delicious food and a super nice group of staff, definitely stop by if you're around!
When I visited, the fantastic, friendly, and personable mother son duo treated me as if I were family. Food and coffee were delish. Happy to have this in the neighborhood.
A simply fantastic, cozy, cash only, well priced spot
A small-town family diner five blocks from the Capitol! With the traditional menu, friendly atmosphere, low prices, and cash-only till.
This restaurant is an amazing gem! The food was delicious, but the service was exceptional. Everyone was kind and so welcoming. I loved that you could see teamwork in action, and the atmosphere was causal and relaxed. We will definitely return when we are in the area again.
(Run to get the pumpkin waffle....you won't be sorry! )
Food was good in taste however the portions were very small. Also ventilation is not good so be aware that your clothing will soak with the smell of frying
Walked to get cash from an ATM before I got there, then walked there and it was closed on a Wednesday at 9:00 am. Hours on Google and the door matched, but they weren't open even though they said they were. Was trying to support a small business versus Starbucks.
Jimmy T’s shouldn’t exist in DC. It’s a no frills, high value neighborhood diner that you don’t see anymore. Their menu makes it seem like they haven’t changed the prices since 1995. Support local and eat great food - go to Jimmy T’s
If you want to feel what an old fashioned diner is like give Jimmy T’s a shot the diner looks like it could really tell some stories going back over many many politicians careers. Sure the menu is limited but OMG it was so tasty. We shared an Egg, Bacon & Pancake plate, Fried grits with cheese and bacon and a Strawberry, Blueberry & Lemon Dump Cake. We really enjoyed both the good and atmosphere.
Cash is King a JT’s so leave the plastic at home when you come to visit.
Great, fluffy pancakes at a very reasonable price. Friendly service. Really hit the spot. Going back this week. (I'm from out of town.) Can't wait!
This is an authentic historic greasy spoon, second generation, lovely people and good food
This place was busy busy busy, usually a good sign and it was. Loved the food, the server was able to do about 500 things at one time, still mashed to get folks seated, served and paid up with ease.
Best pancakes EVER!!!!!🥞😋
This is such a great little place! Good homemade food, a fun diner atmosphere and friendly staff. We come here for breakfast at least once per month.
